A VOICE FOR THE WARD

Though many bodies, organisations and individuals care for King’s Lynn none cares specifically for important central areas of the town, defined as the St Margaret’s with St Nicholas’ Ward.   We have no parish council, no representation on the King’s Lynn Area Consultative Committee and only two representatives on the 59-strong Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

Some years ago as part of a nationwide policy under the localism initiative, the borough council with funding from central government and at its behest, set up a ward forum.   The aim was to give local people a say in the running of the ward and help improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of those living and working here.

People resident or working in the ward are warmly invited to join the forum and help strengthen our voice.   Membership is free.   To become a member go to the Contact & Register page.
